Parents, we have to say that your children are settling beautifully in class, given that this is just our second week. Great job kids! Highlight of today's class was that we introduced meditation through a fun game called "Quiet Time". They did very well. We will continue to work on this through the year.
We spent our entire class learning about Lord Ganesha. We practiced the shloka and bhajan that we learnt last week so we can get really good at it. We learnt about Lord Ganesha's family. We spoke about some of the different names we call Him by. The children seem to already know so much and they were so eager to share their knowledge. During story time, we heard another Ganesha story. This was the classic story of 'Ganesha circling his Parents' but with the twist of Ganesha sharing his winnings with his brother Karthikeya. There is value in sharing! This value resonated beautifully with the children, as we saw them sharing their crayons with a friend as they colored and created lovely Ganesha pictures. Before we ended, we played a game of "Ganesha Vadathi" which is the Sanskrit version of "Simon Says".
On the whole it was a great class. Lots of fun!!
