Comments:
Today was our first day, to a brand new and exciting year of Balavihar. After the assembly at the Auditorium, we came to the to Room 107. We split our class into two sections, Section 1(Room 107) and Section 2 ( Room Number 108). We did our beginning prayers - Shanti Mantra. We introduced ourselves. The children introduced themselves and tried to learn the names of their neighbors. We discussed how we have just celebrated Ganesha Chathurthi, and we explained to kids that our activities will be centered around Lord Ganesha. We played a game where children performed two different physical movements with the names of Bhagvan Shree Ganesha - Vagisha and Sareesha. Later we did a Board Activity, children were given letters , and they were asked to come forward and find the name of Ganesha that has the beginning letter that matched with the letter in their hand. We talked about significance of Ganesha's names for example Gajakarna( large ears to remind to use our listening skills), Gaurinandan( Always does pleasing things for his mom and is dear to his mom Gauri), Bhalchandra( Always Cool and peaceful). All these qualities important for leaning and classroom participation. We did our aarthi and pledge at the Auditorium before dismissal. Hope to see you all next week ;-)
