After a very long time we had a chance to hang out with our friends from the other class today.  We had a fun combined class!  We started with some Yoga stretches and few simple poses to get settled in.   With a nice deep breath, we chanted Om three times followed by the three chants 'Om Ganeshaye Namaha'.
We practiced some of the shlokas we have learnt in the past weeks.  We spoke about the significance of these prayers.  The children did an awesome job reciting.
During Sanskrit learning we practiced our counting in Sanskrit and also learnt to recognize our numbers from 1-20.
We exercised our singing voices during bhajan time.  We learnt a new Bhajan for Lord Karthikeya.  The kids did amazing with the words even though they were a bit tricky.  We also sang the bhajan 'Khate Bhi Raam Kaho'.  We spoke about how we think about "Raam" in everything we do.  It was fun to learn some new words and add it to our song.
At story time we heard the story of  'Hungbo & Nolbu'.  This story comes from Korea and teaches us about brotherly love.
After story time, we did our  likita japa.  We learnt how write 'Raam'.  The kids did an amazing job.
We ended our class the closing prayers.  Aarthi and pledge were in the auditorium.

Have a great week.

Thank you to all the parents who stopped by the class for the meeting.  We appreciate your time, interest, and continued support!
