Comments
Before we recount today's class, we have to mention that the kids did an amazing job setttling into class following the changes this morning. Great job kids! We also have to thank the parents for helping us with this smooth transition. It was lovely to have a small and intimate class and a chance to get to know one another well.
We settled into class and started with chanting Om.  We did our opening prayers and then our stotras.  Quiet time was follwed by chanting the first and second shloka from chapter 13 in the Bhagvad Geeta.
At story time we heard the story of 'Ivan and the Devils'.  This is a story about how generosity makes the giver richer. It also makes people around the giver good.  After story time we played a round of "Krishna Vadati".
We continued to practice our likita japa. Today we reviewed our Sanskrit numbers and also learnt our colors in Sanskrit.  We will continue to practice these in the coming weeks.

We ended our class with the closing prayers.  Aarti and pledge was in the auditorium.

Have a fabulous week!

Fun Homework

We use this in class for the children to practice Japa Writing. Please print this page and have your child trace राम – daily, if possible. This is a great activity for introducing "quiet time" to meditate on God.
