Comments
Before we recount today's class, we have to mention that the kids did an amazing job at 'Quiet Time'.  They were able to focus and stay quiet for over a minute, inspite of the classroom door being open and all the distraction outside. Great job kids!

We started our class as usual with chanting Om followed by the stotras. Today we learnt a new stotra 'Brahmarpanam'. This stotra is chanted before a meal. We thank God for the food and the hunger that we are blessed with. After chanting the stotras, we did our Geeta chanting. Since the kids are doing such an awesome job chanting the first shloka, we went on the learn the second shloka as well.

At story time we heard the story of  Grandma's Blackie. We saw how Blackie the bull worked hard to dosomething nice for the old woman who looked after him.  The kids liked the idea of sharing things to show love.  During Likita Japa we continued to practice writing Ram that we had learnt last week. The kids worked hard on the new word. It was a bit tricky, but I am sure they we be able to do this as beautifully at they do Om, with practice.

After working hard on our Likita Japa, we revisited our Sanskrit numbers.  To practice what we learnt we then did a connect the dots to Sanskrit numbers from 1-20, to make a bull.  We also had fun coloring in the Bulls. We ended our class with our closing prayers. It was a fun class and we look forward to seeing you all in two weeks.

Wishing you all a happy Thanksgiving!

Fun Homework

We use this in class for the children to practice Japa Writing. Please print this page and have your child trace राम – daily, if possible. This is a great activity for introducing "quiet time" to meditate on God.
