Comments:- We did the beginning prayers as usual. Because of the weather there was a very low turnout.
- They can now do the first three Bhajans without any help. The newcomers are still learning the words though they have picked up the actions.
- We explained the meaning of the new Bhajan Khate Bhi Ram Kaho and we practiced the first stanza. We will introduce the next stanza next week.
- Jeevan Uncle told them the story of little Hanuman reaching for the sun thinking it was a mango. Almost all of them seemed to know it already! We all tried to make Hanuman face. We learnt about His powers to become as small as He pleased or as big as he wanted. We learnt other names of Hanuman viz Maruti and Anjaneya and Pavan Kumar.
- They then enjoyed a guessing game with Jeevan Uncle drawing on the board.
- We practised the Geeta Chanting. We started the fifth shloka today.
- They colored pictures of Nandi and then we did the ending prayers.
- We were very pleased to see that so many of the kids had brought their charts and enjoyed handing out stickers. It is great to see their enthusiasm. Please keep them motivated to complete everything and remember to bring it to class.
- Please remember to take the kids to the bathroom before class.
- Please register your child for the Geeta Chanting competition on May 2nd. Please click here to register your child.
- Please print the chart if you did not receive one in class. You can find the link on the left.
