Comments:

  • Mamtha Aunty had a tooth ache and couldn't talk much so we had fun playing Dumbcharades figuring out which Shloka to do next and which Bhajan to do next. Jayashree Aunty was her mouthpiece.

  • After the initial shlokas we spent most of the time practising for the Geeta Chanting competition. We reviewed all the 5 Shlokas several times. Then we had 2 kids at a time come to the front and chant. Rishi Raghav, Sarvesh, Ananth, Sashi, Ashwin, Hamsini, Rishi Agrawal and Ayush chanted all the 5 shlokas very well! Akshaj, Sonali, Abirami, Keshav, and Rohan did atleast 2 or 3 shlokas. (Please check with your kids if they came up and chanted - I might have forgotten some names).

  • Good news is that our class won the Ice cream party for the maximum number of registrants this year too and we all got an icecream on our way out. The Geeta Chanting organisers even came and took a picture of our class (hopefully it will be on the Vrindavan website!).

  • Looks like the competition is heating up so parents please practice well with your children this week!!! Good Luck to all the participants.

  • After the Chanting, we quickly reviewed the story of Sri Rama and tried to remember the names of Rama's parents and his brothers.

  • We practised all the 3 Bhajans and then it was time to line up and get the treat that we deserved so well after all that tough practice!
